Infrared thermal imaging is an advanced, non-invasive technology that allows home inspectors to reveal defects within the home that conventional inspection methods can not. An infrared inspection can identify and document moisture intrusion, energy loss and unexpected hot spots. Some common problems we see are heat loss from doors/windows, broken window pane seals, plumbing leaks, hidden roof leaks, and missing or damaged insulation. These can lead to energy loss, structural damage and mold.
